Agenda ideas for Oct-Dec 2007 Pack meetings
Awards for October pack meeting
Andy, Calvin and Adam will all have earned the following:
Forestry Webelos Badge
Computer belt loop
Map and compass belt loop
I have not ordered them from the scout shop but I figured someone would be ordering other awards and the regatta awards
Pack meeting agenda addition
The Webelos have a skit to perform. We will be meeting at 6:10 before the pack meeting to review it since we haven't worked on it for a couple weeks because of field trips.
Hornaday Award
I am going to start working on writing it up and plan to have it done by the end of October. I need the dates that the wolfs and bears worked on the bird houses last year. I could also use any more pictures of boys making bird houses and the boys at Chintimini.
Rain Gutter Regatta
Ahoy, Mates! This could be the sailing regatta of the century! Although the seas are only 10-foot lengths of rain gutter filled with water, and the ships are a mere 6 inches long, the race is an exciting event. Each boy builds his own boat, with supervision and help from parents or other family members. He also provides the wind for the sail with his own lung power.
Have your boat ready for the Rain gutter Regatta the appropriate pack meeting.
Regatta Rules (from "How to Book" and parent meeting 12/7/06)
- Rigging for sail allowed but stay with the kit.
- Can add accessories.
- No catamarans.
- Hull may be no longer than 7 inches nor shorter than 6 .5 inches.
- Mast should measure 6 ½ inches from deck to top.
Popcorn Sales are Popping Now!
Everyone, start your popcorn poppers. The sales are on! Each boy is to sell $200 worth of popcorn or chocolate in order to pay for THEIR scouting activities: summer camp, pinewood derby, regatta sailboat races, Blue and Gold Banquet, our end of year barbeque, and awards!

Your job, should you take it:
- Start taking orders September 6th
- Collect orders by November 4th
- Popcorn arrives November 17rd and will be delivered to your house – you will give them to purchasers
